Howdy Storytellers 🤠,

For decades, Hollywood has controlled who gets to turn stories into films.

If you didn’t have agents, funding, industry connections, or millions in equipment and crew, your story stayed locked in your head or on your laptop.

That era is ending.

This new filmmaking process removes Hollywood as the gatekeeper, and puts the power directly in your hands as a storyteller.

Today I want to share that process with you. Specifically, the filmmaking process that the Movie Machine makes possible.

For those that don’t know, the Movie Machine by Creatorwood went into beta 1 month ago and just over 1 month from now (on December 1st), we will be launching it to the public. If you’re here early, that means you’ll be getting your invite soon (if you don’t have it yet).

But what exactly is the Movie Machine and what power does it give you as a storyteller?

Many of you have already read my free book Creatorwood [read here for free] where I discuss the future of AI in filmmaking, how it’s transforming both the business and creation process to give storytellers like you more power and control.

It was writing that book and diving into the process of AI filmmaking that inspired the creation of the Movie Machine, an all-in-one platform for writers to turn your stories into film (shows, movies, trailers, and more) and make money from your films while retaining full rights to your IP and all the data from your viewers (their emails).

Today, I want to share with you how the Movie Machine works and what separates it from other tools on the market. Whether you want to use the Movie Machine yourself to make your film OR whether you want to hire our VIP Production team to it for you, it’s crucial to understand the new creation process.

(Psst... speaking of our VIP Production Service, we have an exclusive deal where if you commit 20% down on your project between now and November 1st, we’ll have our team make your film for you from start to finish at just $75 per finished minute. No pressure or rush to commit. We will be raising prices to $100 a minute after November 1st due to the incredible demand the service has had. Just reply ‘interested’ to this email and we will share more details.)

Okay, so what makes the Movie Machine special?

  • It automatically generates everything you need to make your movie or show just by uploading your story. Unlike other AI filmmaking tools where you have to start from scratch, just by uploading your story into the Movie Machine by Creatorwood we automatically create all your characters, their voices, settings, props, and even every shot of your Storyboard planned out. This saves you hundreds of hours in time that you’d normally have to spend adapting your story to film. We do it automatically for you.

  • As a writer you get to transform into a director, having granular control over each stage of the filmmaking process. Theoretically, you could generate a full film in less than a day with the Movie Machine by just clicking buttons to generate scenes based on the storyboard and characters we automatically generate from your story. But nearly everyone here (including our own VIP Production team) has a different approach. AI gets you 90% of the way there, but that final 10% is where your taste and vision as a storyteller comes in. Want your characters to wear a specific wardrobe in a scene? With the Movie Machine you can add that. Want to adjust the shots in your storyboard and customize your start frames to match your vision exactly? Want to adjust the voice of your characters to be exactly how you want it? All of this and more is possible right inside the Movie Machine.

  • It’s built specifically for writers and storytellers. You don’t need to have a studio or be an experienced filmmaker to use the Movie Machine. In fact, the Movie Machine is an entirely new creation process that we are all learning and iterating on together.

  • You keep 100% of the rights to the content you generate on the Movie Machine and can distribute it anywhere. It’s your film, your vision, your world on Creatorwood. You can distribute to Creatorwood’s Streaming Platform for free, but you can also upload to any social media platform, work with other distributors, do a screening in your local movie theater… the world is your oyster!

  • You don’t have to learn and pay for 10+ AI tools. Creatorwood integrates with well over a dozen AI partners to bring the Movie Machine to life. Instead of learning and paying for 12 different apps and stringing it together in a messy workflow, Creatorwood handles all the prompting for you, making thousands of requests to different AIs throughout the process. The best AI video models? They are inside of Creatorwood, and we dynamically route each shot to the best model for your shot. The best audio models? Also inside of Creatorwood. With Creatorwood you don’t have to choose between the tools. You get all the best in one place without the complication of needing to know which one is best for your use case. We handle it all for you automatically, constantly improving our process to make the Movie Machine better and more powerful each day.

So yeah. Creatorwood really stands on its own.

And it’s because we have a crazy vision.

We believe Storytellers Rule the World. And we want to give everyone the chance to see their stories come to life.

We are betting on all of you.

We don’t think you need to be a Hollywood studio to make great films.

We know the truth.

The future of film belongs to all of you. The writers, the storytellers, the visionaries.

We created this for the storyteller in Indiana who has a script sitting in their desk drawer but doesn’t know an agent. We created this for the uber driver in Los Angeles who moved out to the city to try and make it big, but has been let down by false promises for 10+ years.

We don’t promise you riches. We don’t promise you millions of viewers. Anyone who does is selling you a crock of shit.

What we do promise is simple: power and control to bring your stories to life.

I know what it’s like to be ripped off. I started self-publishing my sci-fi books at 15 and fell for the trap of a vanity press. Thousands of dollars and false promises later, I self-published 12 sci-fi books on Amazon. But even there, I had no control to contact my readers and was stuck at the whims of an algorithm.

After hitting rock bottom, risking my life to try and get views on my YouTube video, I realized there has to be a better way.

My dream was always to make a living as a storyteller.

But whether it was the gatekeepers or big technology platforms it felt like everything was working against me and trying to take advantage of me.

I was so tired. But I realized, I had a unique opportunity to make a change.

My passion is technology and storytelling. And I realized that instead of writing science fiction novels, my next chapter would be bringing science fiction to life.

The future I imagined?

One where technology works with storytellers. One where storytellers are the locus of power in culture rather than big tech monopolies or Hollywood gatekeepers.

This is not my first rodeo. I’ve been building technology platforms for storytellers for years. I’ve worked for the biggest creators in the world. And we’ve assembled the best team ever (so grateful to the 10+ folks working at Creatorwood now) to take the biggest swing yet at creating a future where Storytellers Rule the World.

Creating a technology that allows every story to be seen.

It’s early days. I won’t tell you it’s perfect. But I will tell you it’s getting radically better each week. Looking back 1 month ago, the progress made is unimaginable.

And as we start sharing what we are doing with the world, I think you all will be impressed.

Either way, we are doing this for all of you. And it’s because of your support and believing in us that we can create a new art form together.

The Movie Machine is as significant as the dawn of the film reel. It’s a new medium for filmmaking. Together we are going to create a new industry.

A wave that changes the world of storytelling.

I believe in this now more than ever.

I believe in all of you.

The gatekeepers will doubt us. The mainstream will laugh at us.

But they don’t know what I know.

I’ve spoken with hundreds of you. From folks in their 80s to folks in their 20s. From folks who are living in big cities, to rural areas, to every continent (except for Antarctica).

You all have something that is so powerful, it’s the reason why deep inside these gatekeepers are scared.

Your story, your passion, your perspective can change the world.

Imagine what will happen when the storytellers who rule the world isn’t Hollywood but you?

That’s the future we are creating. The power of this new art form.

And it’s the greatest privilege of my life to be able to collaborate with all of you.

I’ll be in touch with much more soon.

But before I go, I want to share with you the 5 steps to using the Movie Machine. They are simple, but a quick snapshot of the process. This is the core of this new way of filmmaking. And once you master this process, the sky is the limit for you. The Movie Machine by Creatorwood is your partner to help you do that.

The 5 Steps to Using the Movie Machine

#1: Upload Your Story for Movie Machine Processing

The Movie Machine exists to help you bring your story to life. The first step is sharing with it your story! Whether it’s a script, short story, or full novel, bring it into the Movie Machine and it will automatically adapt your film.

Note: The Movie Machine works best with complete story arcs. Even if you want to make just your first scene, full context allows us to accurately develop your characters, storyboard, and more. In essence think of it like an AI film studio. The Movie Machine needs to understand your full story first so it can properly adapt each part.

#2: Edit Your Characters, Settings, and Props

This step is all about refining the visual foundation of your film.

On the Director’s Notes section, you will be able to change how your characters look and sound and create different wardrobes for them. Same is true for settings and shot angles for settings and props.

You can upload reference images to influence what your characters look like and even upload your own character images. For voices, you can even upload a sample of your own voice to make it the voice of a character. Wild!

#3: Edit Your Storyboard and Make Start and End Frames

This step is all about planning out each shot in your film so each scene matches your vision and story!

You can change the action, dialogue, camera notes, and anything else inside of the Storyboard. When you are ready, you can click one button to generate start and end frames for each shot in your scene.

Then you can refine these start and end frames and even change the specific video input to get each shot exactly as you want.

#4: Edit Your Generated Scenes

Now, you press the button to generate a scene and begin the editing process!

In one button you generate each scene with dialogue, lip syncing, music, sound effects, and of course the video itself! Inside the Movie Machine editor you can regenerate any dialogue, video, and more to refine your film exactly as you want.

#5: Distribute Your Finished Film

Now share your story with the world!

You can upload to Creatorwood’s Streaming platform where you get 80% of the revenue your film makes (the 20% we take goes mostly to payment processing and server costs… so you get almost all of the net revenue from your film). AND you even get all the emails of your followers and paying viewers on Creatorwood so you have a direct connection to your audience, not interrupted by an algorithm.

We don’t promise any kind of financial return from distributing to Creatorwood. Our Streaming Platform is early and doesn’t have a lot of viewers yet. But overtime, we will be investing in growing it so that we can create a viable option to monetize and get viewership outside of the streamers and big tech platforms that rip away your rights and control.

And that’s it, phew!

You can check out our pricing calculator here to see what Creatorwood charges at each step of the process. We are a pay as you go system and charge as we incur AI processing costs.

I’m very grateful for all of you.

I’m sprinting to release a free course on how to use the Movie Machine.

In the meantime, thank you for being here.

Together we’re creating a revolution changing film and storytellers forever.

And as always don’t forget…

Your Story Deserves to Be Seen
